Menu du Maid Café et photographe sur place!

Le Maid Café ayant lieu dans quelques 5 jours, il est temps de révéler les mets que vous pourrez y déguster! À noter que, afin d'éviter qu'il y ait congestion au comptoir, les repas chauds pourront seulement être commandés aux tables, aux heures prévues, à travers le service de maids et butlers.
 
Qui plus est, si vous venez à l'événement en cosplay, sachez qu'une photographe sera sur place et offrira des photoshoots dans son stand. Le Maid Café étant un événement centré autour de la nourriture, nous vous conseillons néanmoins de faire attention aux taches!

It is finally time to reveal the menu for this year's Maid Café, which will be held in 5 days! Take note, however, that warm meals may only be ordered using the maid and butler service, within the timeslots mentionned on the menu, in order to keep everything organized.
 
For those who will be wearing cosplays during the Maid Café, a photographer will be on site to do photoshoots in her booth. Since the event mostly revolves around food, be careful of stains and spills!

Rules concerning weapon replicas, and accomodation on campus!

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that there are various rules concerning weapons, replicas of weapons and accessories during the festival, especially since it takes place on a campus. As such, do note that NO WEAPONS OR REPLICAS OF WILL BE ALLOWED ON SITE during the Maid Café. However, some exceptions are made for the festival itself, from March 31st to April 2nd. Here is what's still forbidden:
 
  • Any firearm, replica of a firearm, or anything resembling a firearm;
  • Any object that can shoot projectiles, including but not limited to guns, bows, bolas, slingshots, water guns and nerf guns;
  • Weapons made of metal, even if they do not cut, and even if they're packaged, hidden, or sheathed (weapons made of wood or other soft materials are accepted unless otherwise forbidden by other rules);
  • Taser guns, brass knuckles, truncheons, nunchakus, pepper spray or any other object forbidden by law;
  • Excessively large, long or heavy accessories may be confiscated, if considered dangerous by the security;
  • Any other object considered dangerous by the security.
 
Please also note that, as mentionned in the case of firearms, any real weapon is also prohibited.

Politique sur les répliques d’armes, et hébergement sur le campus!

À la lumière des événements qui sont survenus il y a quelques jours, nous tenons à vous rappeler que plusieurs réglementations s'appliquent aux répliques d'armes sur les lieux du festival, notamment du fait qu'il s'agit d'un campus universitaire. Ainsi, lors du Maid Café, AUCUNE RÉPLIQUE D'ARME NE SERA ADMISE. Cependant, lors du festival en soi, du 31 mars au 2 avril, certaines exceptions sont permises afin que vous profitiez au maximum de l'événement. Néanmoins, certaines règles concernant les répliques d'armes et accessoires demeurent. Voici ainsi les articles interdits:
 
  • Toute arme à feu, imitation d'arme à feu, ou objet y ressemblant;
  • Tout objet pouvant tirer des projectiles, incluant, mais non de façon limitative fusils, arcs, bolas, lance-pierres, fusils à eau et les articles de marque Nerf;
  • Les armes en métal, même si elles ne sont pas coupantes ou tranchantes, et ce, même si elles sont emballées, recouvertes ou dans un fourreau (les armes en bois ou matériel plus mou sont acceptés au Festival à moins d'être mentionné ailleurs dans ce programme comme étant interdit);
  • Les pistolets électriques, les coups de poing américains, les matraques, les nunchakus, le gaz poivré et tout autre article considéré comme arme interdite en vertu de la loi;
  • Évitez les accessoires excessivement larges, longs ou lourds, car ils pourraient être interdits à la discrétion de la sécurité;
  • Tout autre article jugé comme dangereux par la sécurité.
 
Veuillez aussi noter que, comme mentionné dans le cas des armes à feu, les armes véritables sont elles aussi bien entendu interdites.
 
Sur un thème plus léger, le services des résidences de l'Université Laval offre un service hôtelier à quelques pas du festival, accessible notamment par le réseau de tunnels souterrain du campus. Two days ago, tragedy struck in Québec City

Our festival’s primary goal is to spread the love for the culture of a certain distant country. As such, when we heard the news about the events that took place on our very own doorstep, we simply didn’t want to believe it; such horrors may often only seem like rumors, whispers from faraway lands. Yet, this time, the horror was much too close.

We are saddened, if not disappointed, by the events that transpired during this weekend. However, yesterday, countless thousands of people took on the streets, brandishing candles and flowers in response to the atrocity, boon on this wound to our community. We would like to do the same. While our festival focuses exclusively on matters relating to Japan, both our organization and our attendees have various origins, religions, as well as sexual orientation and identities. In this era of technology and globalization, of cultural and ideological shock, we believe acceptance is of the utmost importance. Differences should not be something to separate people based on, but to learn about instead. After all, while we may come from different countries, or have different beliefs, we are all human.
