Circus artist born in Japan, Ryunosuke Yamazumi is well-known for his outstanding shows. A classic at our festival, he will be offering a new performance featuring the Chinese pole, combined to his notorious juggling tricks. Artiste de cirque originaire du Japon, Ryunosuke Yamazumi est notoire pour ses spectacles à couper le souffle. Un incontournable classique de notre festival, il offrira un nouveau numéro mettant en vedette le mât chinois et ses fidèles ballons. Que ce soit votre première fois ou non, vous ne voudrez dans aucun cas manquer sa prestation!

Vocaloid exhibition at Nadeshicon!
Shan Ferland-Daigle found his passion for Vocaloid in 2009, and has been collecting items relating to it ever since. His love for the genre led him to travel to Japan twice to assist to Hatsune Miku concerts, during which he acquired even more items for his collection, which has since reached a rather impressive size. Invited at Nadeshicon, he will be hosting an exhibition of his collection, as well as doing a giveaway of two bags filled with goodies from Magical Mirai 2016. Drop by his exhibit to sign up; the winners will be picked during his « Incursion au Magical Mirai 2016 » panel, which will be held in the late afternoon, on the Sunday of the convention.
Come see this phenomenon that took the musical world by storm, or, if you’re already a fan of it, come discuss it with a fellow enthusiast!

Exposition à thème Vocaloid à Nadeshicon!
Shan Ferland-Daigle collectionne depuis 2009 les articles reliés au phénomène musical Vocaloid. Ayant voyagé par deux fois au Japon pour assister aux spectacles de Hatsune Miku, sa passion débordante l’aura emmené à amasser une collection impressionnante d’articles qu’il exposera lors de notre festival. Qui plus est, il organisera un tirage pour deux sacs surprise contenant des goodies du Magical Mirai 2016. Visitez son exposition pour vos inscrire! Le tirage aura lieu lors de son panel « Incursion au Magical Mirai 2016 », qui aura lieu le dimanche en fin d’après-midi.
Venez découvrir ce phénomène sans précédant qui a ravi la scène musicale ou, si vous en êtes déjà passionné, venez en discuter!

Nienna Surion de retour à Nadeshicon!
Nienna Surion, représentante canadienne et finaliste du World Cosplay Summit 2016, sera de retour cette année pour partager l’expérience qu’elle a vécue lors de cette grande compétition au Japon!
Autodidacte à la tête dure, Nienna Surion a, depuis 2009, continué à raffiner ses talents de confection, préférant se creuser les méninges à la recherche de solutions et tirer d’inestimables connaissances du processus que de s’en remettre à des tutoriels. Son approche aura évidemment porté fruits lorsque, en 2015, elle fut sélectionnée aux côtés de Darkarnival Butler pour représenter le Canada au World Cosplay Summit 2016.

Parlant de cosplay, demain, jeudi 9 mars sera projeté le film Miss Hokusaï, dans le cadre du Festival de cinéma en famille de Québec. À l’occasion, une surprise sera offerte aux gens venant en cosplay! Vous pouvez trouver plus d’informations, dont notamment le lieu et l’heure où auront lieu la projection, sur leur page événement Facebook.
Nienna Surion will be back at Nadeshicon!
Nienna Surion, Canadian representative and finalist at World Cosplay Summit 2016, will be back again this year to talk about the experience of this grand competition in Japan!
Self-taught and headstrong, Nienna Surion has been polishing her cosplay crafting skills since 2009. Rather than following tutorials, she would spend hours trying to find solutions to her problems, which would allow her to acquire invaluable skills and knowledge through her labor. Her ways evidently paid off when, in 2015, she was selected alongside Darkarnival Butler to represent Canada at the 2016 World Cosplay Summit.
Rich of her experience, she will be back at Nadeshicon this year to share her experience to other cosplayers who look up to the World Cosplay Summit. However, in the meantime, you can still learn about her in the Guest section.
Speaking of cosplay, tomorrow, March 9th, the movie Miss Hokusai will be presented as part of the Festival de cinéma en famille de Québec. To commemorate it, attendees wearing cosplays will be gifted a little something! You may find more information, like the location and time of the screening, on their Facebook event page.
Rules and registration to the masquerade, and template for your cosplay lineups!
The rules for the masquerade are now available on our website, although only in French. If you can, give them a read to make sure everything is in order for the big day!
Registrations will be held in two parts: 20 entries will be taken on Friday, while the remaining ones will be taken on Saturday. Here are the times at which registrations for each day will begin:
- Friday starting at 6pm
- Saturday starting at 10am
Each registration period will thus end when the cap for that day will have been hit. Get there early!
Lastly, we have prepared templates for you to share the cosplays you will be wearing during the weekend with us and the other attendees! You can do so on our official Facebook group, if you so wish.

Les règles pour la mascarade sont désormais disponibles sur notre site web! Assurez-vous de bien les lire pour être prêts pour l’événement!
Les inscriptions pour la mascarade se feront en deux parties; ainsi, 20 entrées seront prises le vendredi, et le restant sera comblé le samedi. Voici les heures à partir desquelles vous pourrez vous inscrire:
- Vendredi à 18h
- Samedi à 10h
À cet effet, les périodes d’inscription se termineront lorsque la limite de leur journée respective sera atteinte. Arrivez tôt!
Enfin, nous avons préparé pour vous des templates pour que vous partagiez avec nous et le reste des festivaliers les cosplays que vous porterez lors de la fin de semaine! N’hésitez pas à nous en faire part sur notre groupe Facebook officiel!
