  • The participant has to sing alone; groups and group presentations are forbidden.
  • The lyrics of the chosen song must be predominantly in Japanese and must be memorized.
  • Your performance has to be a maximum of 6 minutes long.

  • Any professional singer who wishes to take part in the contest has to have been granted permission by his or her manager.
  • If the participant is under 14 years old, they must complete the parental consent form in order to participate.

Audition Process

  • Auditions will be held on the Sunday morning of Nadeshicon, between 10 A.M. and 12 P.M.
  • Once auditions are over, we won’t be accepting any more applications.
  • An audition form will be filled during the auditions.
  • Participants will have to bring their USB key, well identified, with their song on it.
  • Each participant will have to perform a verse and a chorus of their song in order to be evaluated.
  • A certain number of participants will be selected to participate in the finale, number which will be determined depending on the number of applications.
  • Results will be announced at the information desk of Nadeshicon half an hour after the end of the auditions.
  • The selected participants must be present during the sound check before the show. The hour of the preparation will be entered on the results sheet of the hearings.
