Nadeshicon 2020 is still happening!

Update: Nadeshicon 2020 is, in fact, cancelled. Read the announcement here.

E3 may be cancelled due to COVID-19, but your favourite local anime convention isn’t! With that being said, we do have a few recommendations to share to ensure the event goes smoothly:
  • Wash your hands often, for a duration of 20 seconds each time. Singing helps a lot with making sure you respect the duration. We personally recommend Database, the opening to Log Horizon; the part from the first “Database” to “As the madness of the system grows” is the perfect length. Not only will you help prevent the virus from spreading, but you will also be all warmed up for karaoke!
  • Leave any “Free hugs” sign at home this year. Hugs may be a great way to share some happiness around, but happiness may not be the only thing you share doing so. Last we heard, smiling is still perfectly safe!
  • Sneeze and cough into your elbow. Picture this: your elbow is your shield, and everyone else is Raphtalia. Hopefully your elbow doesn’t make your unreasonably angry at times though.
You can find a full list of preventive measures on the Gouvernement du Québec’s website.

Valérie Lévesque is Nadeshicon 2020’s spokeswoman!

This is not the work of an enemy Stand! One of the most beloved otaku content creators in the province, Valérie creates some of the most charming, yet still incredibly instructive, videos and articles on everything pertaining to Japan. It then comes as no surprise that she would be the best spokesperson for our event!

Welcome her with open arms, and look forward to seeing her MC the main events at Nadeshicon, as well as host a certain bizarre quiz during which using The World is prohibited~
