Festival Nadeshicon 2014 is proud to offer you a chance to win one of five pairs of tickets to go see Anohana The Movie: The Flower We Saw That Day presented by Aniplex of America on February 9th and 12th at Cinéplex Odéon of Sainte-Foy in Quebec City! If you win, you must arrive 15 to 45 minutes in advance and get your tickets next to the person that tares tickets at the entrance.

We will be present at Cinéplex Odéon of Sainte-Foy to distribute the tickets to the winners during the presentation on the 9th of February from noon to 12:40 PM and on the 12th from 18:45 PM to 19:20 PM. Be sure to bring an ID card so we can confirm who you are.
The movie will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
Organizers of Festival Nadeshicon 2014 as well as the administrative comittee of Club Animé Québec cannot participate in this contest.

Christopher Macdonald
Christopher Macdonald was the long-time editor-in-chief of Anime News Network and is now the company’s publisher and CEO as well as a consultant for anime companies in Japan, America and other surprising corners of the planet. Despite being immersed in anime and manga politics nearly 24/7, he’s still perfectly happy spending his free time reading the latest Yotsubato&! or Gunnm manga, or watching an episode of Attack on Titan.

To thank everyone during this time of giving and sharing, we have the honor to present you our guest, or rather a group of guests that will make you hear the most beautiful Japanese video games music that all will immediately recognize. Without further ado, here’s the unveiling of the presence of the “Orchestre de Jeux Vidéo” (Video Game Orchestra), in its portable version, during Nadeshicon Festival 2014!!!

MOON Kana – Guest of honour at Festival Nadeshicon 2014!
This is the hour of the great unveiling of our guest of honour at Festival Nadeshicon 2014!
In the spotlight for this fourth edition of Festival Nadeshicon, MOON Kana, directly from Japan, will be landing for the first time in the Canada here in Quebec City!!!
MOON Kana is a unique musician: she composes, mixes and performs her own songs always straight out of her magical and wonderful world. Many people will appreciate her work from the first listen; for others, more perseverance might be required to appreciate her at her fair value.
Its uniqueness is also reflected in her style of clothing very “Gothic Lolita” inspired. She also creates her own clothes and sells her creations worldwide.
We hope that you come and see her at Nadeshicon 2014 from April 4th to 6th!

Nadeshicon’s Outside Photoshoot
Hi everyone! We’re inviting you to Nadeshicon’s photoshoot!
Your closet is full of awesome cosplays? Let’s show them!
We offer you an outside photoshoot, Saturday the august 18th. Let join us and make awesome pictures with our photographer: Droo!
The goal of this activity is to create a cosplay/Japanese culture calendar for Nadeshicon 2013. What you get : a wonderful afternoon with a lot of cosplayers and a chance to win your ticket for Nadeshicon 2013! The cosplayers on the selected pictures will have a free ticket for Nadeshicon in April 2013.
Furthermore, we’ll bring some Yakisoba pan to eat for free! (1 per person) 😉 But we invite you to bring your own lunch to complete your dinner and we’ll all eat together. (For those who don’t know what Yakisoba is, click here.)
So let’s have fun with cosplays and strike a pose!
When : Saturday, August 18th, 1.00pm. If we have bad weather : August 19th, 1.00pm.
